After going through my craft supply stash a few weeks back, I came across some wooden beads. Was going to take them to the Salvo’s seeing as they had been in my stash for quite sometime. Boy I’m glad that I didn’t so that I could share with you how to make an Easy Farmhouse Wooden Bead Garland for you to decorate your home with.
How To Make An Easy Farmouse Wooden Bead Garland
You could also use coloured beads for this project to suit your decor. Instead of have a tag at the end of the garland you could make another tassle or attach an embelishment that you love.
- 20mm wooden beads
- Kraft Tags or embellishment of your choice
- Letter Stamps
- Stamp Pad
Step 1 – Wrap some jute around your hand about 10 to 15 times pending on how thick you want your tassle.
Step 2 – Slide the loop off your hand, then using a piece of jute wrap around the top of the loop and pull tight and knot to keep in place.
Step 3 – Fluff your tassle around until you get the desired look.
Step 4 – Cut a piece of jute as long as you want your garland and tie to the top of the loop of your tassle.
Step 5 – Start threading your beads onto your jute. If you find that the jute is unravelling as your threading the beads pop some tape tightly around the end because the tape will stop the jute from unravelling further.
Step 6 – Once you have the desired length tie off either another tassel, a stamped tag or embellishment of your choice.
Now for the fun bit!
It’s time to decorate. These Easy Farmhouse Wooden Bead Garlands look fabulous drapped over old books, dress up an old bottle or vase. The possabilites are endless.
