It’s that fun time of the week for Waste Not Wednesday! And today it’s all about table risers. They are such a fun way to add some height when displaying things around your home and a great way to use up scrap wood. Today I’m sharing How to Make A Wooden Farmhouse Table Riser that you can follow along and make too.

Welcome back to Waste Not Wednesday! For those who have been following along for a while, you’ll know Waste Not Wednesday as a linky party. But Leanna and I have decided to change things up a bit. Each Wednesday, we will be bringing you fun projects from us and some of our favourite bloggers. This week’s theme is all about Table Risers!
- Scrap Wood – 230mm x 300mm
- Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint – Voodoo Gel Stain – Tobacco Road
- Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint – Gator Hide Applicator Sponge
- Stencil – I made this with my cutting machine but you could use any type
- 4 x Wooden Drawer Pulls
- Fusion Mineral Paint – Casement
- Glue Gun
- Stencil Sponge
- Mister Bottle
- Wax Brush
Don’t have time to make a Farmhouse Table riser? We’ve got you covered! You find this very one over in our >>SHOP<<
Step 1 – Spray your wood piece with your mister bottle. This helps the stain move around more easier on your raw wood. Dampen your sponge and apply some tobacoo road. Wipe across with the wood grain until you get the desired stain.
Step 2 – Do the same with your wooden drawer pulls.
Step 3 – Apply your stencil to the top of your table riser and let dry.
Step 4 – Glue your 4 drawer pulls into each corner of your riser.
Step 5 – Using your wax brush seal with wax for protection and you’re all done!
Now its time to decorate with a Candle, some wooden farmhouse beads and some greenery or fresh flowers!
