Finding old books is a passion of mine! They have so much character and add a nice vintage farmhouse feel when decorating. Sometimes I come across old books that are falling apart and looking a little worse for wares. Because I really dislike things going to waste, creating decor items and using them on my restored furniture has been a fun way to use up all of these old book pages. So today I’m sharing 5 Fun Things You Can Make With Vintage Book Pages.
5 Fun Things You Can Make With Vintage Book Pages
Supplies needed:
- Book Pages from old books
- Sweet Pickins Milk Paint – Top Coat
Project 1 – Vintage Farmhouse Book Page Heart Wreath
You don’t just have to make this into a heart. You can cut the cardboard backing to any shape you like! The possibilities are endless.
Project 2 – Vintage Farmhouse Flower Wreath Using an Embroidery Hoop
Another alternative for a wreath is using an embroidery hoop. You can usually find these quite cheaply at your local thrift store.
Project 3 – Vintage Farmhouse Book Page Thrifted Plate Frame
This is another fun way using thrifted frames and book pages. Using some top coat you can stick and seal the book pages down to the backing of the frame. Viola, there you have some fun wall art!
Project 4 – Simple Book Page Table Runner
This by far is the easiest of the projects. You simply add your book pages to your table runner. In this case, I used a pallet table runner and lined it with book pages for our Christmas Table last year.
Project 5 – Use Book Pages On Furniture
Using top coat you can apply book pages to your furniture and give it a nice vintage farmhouse feel. Recently I gave our old beat up corner unit a fresh new look and lined the small shelf that housed the DVD player once upon a time. They are also fun to line drawers with…. the possibilities are truly endless!
There are so many wonderfully creative things you can do with old book pages and I hope you have enjoyed these 5 easy ideas! For more detail feel free to click on the link under each project.
Even placing them in your displays with their fallen off book covers adds a fun touch like I did with this cupboard that I gave a new lease on life!
Happy Creating!

I love these ideas Sam! Definitely might be “stealing” a few of them. 🙂
LOL! You’re most welcome to “steal” them anytime Deborah! 😉
I love all of these great ideas. Book pages is definitely one of my all-time favorite ways to decorate. I’ve even done it on trunks and shelves.
Oh aren’t they just so fun to play around with and create with Mary?!
