Thrift Store Napkin Rings

Thrift Store Napkin Rings

Sharing a super quick idea on how to give dated Thrift Store Napkin Rings a fresh new look. I recently found a set of wooden Napkin Rings at my local Thrift Store and I saw some potential in them and that they could once again be used as what they once were!

Supplies needed:

  • Napkin Rings
  • Chalk Paint – I used my own milk coloured chalkpaint.
  • Sandpaper Block – 120 grit
  • Wax
  • Scrapbooking embellishments – The ones I used I already had in my scrapbook stash but these would look great also!
  • Hot Glue Gun – If you have been following me for a while you know how often I use a glue gun and recommend the Bosch Glue Gun as it doesn’t drip everywhere and it doesn’t go through the glue sticks like the smaller cheaper ones. Can highly recommend.

I don’t know about you but every so often I LOVE to be able to make something quickly and have a nice result at the end! Painting furniture as I do mostly, doesn’t always work out like that, so being able find and make a quick project like these Thrift Store Napkin Rings was quite fun!!

Using your chosen coloured chalkpaint, give your thrift shop napkin rings two coats of paint. Distress using your sanding block to the desired effect and then wax to seal. Heat up your glue gun and then attach to the napkin ring.
