With Christmas fast approaching and time somewhat lacking with the busyness that accompanies this time of the year, I thought that I would share with you a Super Quick and Easy Vintage Wreath Frame for you to enjoy this Christmas!
Super Quick and Easy Vintage Wreath Frame

Supplies needed
- Wooden Frame – I used a 19″W x 24″ H
- Wax
- Christmas Wreath
– I used a 16″ wreath from Kmart
- Vintage Style Tags
– I found the ones I’m using in this project at the Dollar King but if you can’t find these I found some cute ones that are similar, just click on the link.
- Complementing Coloured Chalk Paint Mix- I used my Pewter Grey coloured Chalk paint.
- Grubbied up lace
- Jute
- Christmas Berries
(optional if they are not already on your wreath)
Step 1– Give your wooden frame 2 coats of chalk paint, distress and seal with wax.
Step 2 – Attach a variety of the tags to your wreath. The Christmas Berries
were already attached to this particular wreath when I bought it, so you could add some at this stage if your wreath didn’t come with them.

Now it’s time for the fun bit!
Step 3– Lay your frame flat and then set the wreath so that it sits in the middle of the frame. Cut a piece of jute big enough to create a loop to hang your wreath without allowing it to hang outside the frame. Fasten tightly in a double knot. Take your piece of grubby lace and tie into a sweet bow and attach to the centre of your wreath.
Handy Hint– To achieve the grubby look, simply soaked the lace in a little bit of coffee and let dry.

Now your wreath is all ready to hang somewhere special in your home to enjoy this Christmas!
I hope you enjoy!
Until next time,
