Supplies needed:

Step 1 – Wash your plates to ensure they are all squeaky clean and free of dust that may obstruct the stamp.

Lightly apply the stamp and let run your fingers over the top of the stamp lightly to get that lovely crackled effect. Practice on a sheet of paper if you like to get used to the application. 1. Hi Sam, these are so cute! I have some IOD stamps and love them. This looks like a great way to use them. My question , can you use the plates after you stamp them and then hand wash?
    Thank, Kim

    1. Aren’t they just the best thing to add some fun to a project, Kim! I have designed these ones for decorating purposes only. I wouldn’t encourage using them for food because of the caution that is on the back of the StazOn ink pad which reads as follows:
Use in a well-ventilated area. Do not inhale or ingest. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

The ink is designed especially for use on plastic, metal, glass, ceramic, laminated paper, coated paper and leather.

I have wiped my plates down for a test with a damp cloth to clean and the design still remained intact. I wouldn’t recommend on immersing and leaving in the water as this may dissolve the ink.

  2. I may have missed it and I apologize if I did but where did you get the bird stamp? Thx so much. Love this idea.
