Who loves a challenge? The hosts and I from Waste Not Wednesday have set a challenge this week for a Spring or Easter Tablescape. So we have all been busy tinkering about on decorating our tables. Each month we will be setting a challenge and next month its all about making a tray! So feel free to link up your tablescapes with us this week and join in all the fun. Sharing how to make a Simple Vintage farmhouse Spring or Easter Tablescape.
Simple Vintage Farmhouse Spring or Easter Tablescape
Using things that I already have is the very first thing that I try to do when decorating anything whether it be a room or a table! So with that being said I started with the centrepiece, our pallet table runner and used old book pages to give it some texture. I also used the same style for my Spring/Easter Tour and my Christmas Tour. The contrast between the book pages and the distressed wooden white table runner add some nice Vintage Farmhouse Charm.
Then to tie in the book pages with the rest of the table I made some little nests in our teacups. Added some moss, an egg and pulled apart a garland from bed bath n table for the sweet bunnies. Don’t they just have the cutest cottontails!?! I will put the garland back together so that I can use it again next year.
Memories
To keep things simple for each place setting I used my Grannys napkins and tucked them under these sweet bunny plates from Bed Bath n Table. I quite often use things that have been given to me in my decorating because it adds a nice warm special touch and I would prefer to use and enjoy them than have them sitting in a cupboard and never used.
We are really looking forward to our kids coming home for Easter! It seems like such a long time since we all sat around this table and shared a meal together. I guess that’s what happens when they grow up and start lives of their own. Wishing that I had prepared myself for that a little better because it happened so quickly.
We have had an incredible amount of rain here over the past 4 weeks! It sure has been a welcoming thing for our camellias though and was very grateful to be able to pick a bunch and add them to the centrepiece.
The pastel pink and blue is perfect for Spring and Easter.
Well, that’s a wrap on a very Simple Vintage Farmhouse Tablescape. Be sure to check out my blogging pals fun tablescapes below.
