Repurposed Saucepan Lid Snowman
Supplies needed:
- 2 x Old Saucepan lids different sizes plus a small teapot lid – I found these at my local thrift store.
- Fusion Mineral Paint – Picket Fence
- Paint Brush
- Black Buttons
- Hat and Scarf Bottle Huggers
- Americana Deco Art – Lamp Black
- Americana Deco Art – Heritage Brick
- Stylus
- Liner Brush
- Black Buttons
- Hot Glue Gun
- Snow place like home printable
- Graphite paper
- Drill and Drill pieces
- 120 grit sanding block
- Wire and Wire Cutters
Step 1 – Remove or leave your saucepan lid knob. You can leave it if you like. I just preferred the flat button as the snowman buttons. Using your drill and drill piece drill holes in the bottom of the lid that you’re using as the snowman’s head, top and bottom of the top of the body and the top of the saucepan lid. Grab your paintbrush and give each lid 2 coats of paint letting dry completely between each coat.
Step 2 – Paint on your snowman face using black paint and then dry brush on some rosy red cheeks.
Step 3 – Cut 3 x 5″ lengths of wire and thread through the lids. Twist around so that the lids are tight and close together.
Step 4 – Print out the snow place like home printable. Then using your transfer paper and stylus trace the words onto the bottom of your snowman. Take your liner brush and paint the words. Once dry distress the words gently.
Step 5 – Grab your glue gun, buttons and bottle huggers and glue into place.
And there you have a fun repurposed saucepan lid snowman to add to your Christmas decorating!! Don’t you think he would look cute hanging on your front door?
