Recently a lovely client contacted me asking to make a sign for him and his family. They love the coastal look and was after something a little rustic! So on went the thinking cap and I came up with a fun Easy Pallet Coastal Sign for you to make and add some coastal charm to your home.

- 4 x 16.5″ Long Pallet Sticks
- 2 x scrap pieces pallet sticks
- Drill and screws
- 1 x Stencil of your choice – I made this personalised one for my clients with my Silhouette Cameo Machine but this Welcome stencil from Amazon would do the trick.
- Painters Tape
- 120 grit sandpaper
- Paint Brush
- Heirloom- Fusion Mineral Paint
- Picket Fence – Fusion Mineral Paint
- Fusion Mineral Paint – Beeswax Stick
- Glue Gun
- Star Fish
Putting the sign together
Step 1 – The principle of making the sign is exactly the same as my Pallet Bath Caddy. The only difference is that you slide the pallets to be at variegated lengths before clamping and screwing together.
Time for painting
Step 2 – Starting with Picket Fence give the entire sign a coat of paint and let dry. Then taking the beeswax stick rub over some parts of the sign. Then paint over the entire sign with Heirloom. Let dry.
Step 3 – Sanding away and distress to your liking so that a mixture of the white and the pallet come through.
Step 4 – Tape down your stencil and using your makeup wedge stencil away. Let dry and then lightly sand.
Step 4 – Position and glue down your starfish.
There you have a fun easy pallet coastal sign!
