Supplies needed:

  • 6 ” Foam Carrots x 4 – I found these carrots that I used in my local Dollar King Store.
  • Glue gun  –  I LOVE my Bosch Glue gun and can highly recommend it if you use a glue gun with your crafting! It has a small nozzle which is perfect to get into small areas and there’s no dripping!
  • Jute
  • Small Wooden Pegs
  • Scissors

Step 1 – Cut all of the white ribbon loops at the top of the carrots off.

Step 2 – Starting at the bottom of the carrot pop a dab of glue on the tip and stick the end of the jute

BE CAREFUL

Not to burn yourself with this next step. As the glue starts to dry squish the jute into the end of the carrot to ensure that it has made contact properly with the sweet carrot.  Then using your thumb hold the end of the jute in place and carefully apply a tiny amount of glue and start curling the jute around the carrot.

Keep wrapping the jute around the carrot until you reach the top, again applying more glue to keep the jute secure around the top. Cut any leftover jute you have and glue it down.

Step 3– Repeat the carrot covering process another 3 times.  You can always make more carrots if you want your garland to be longer for your project!

Step 4 – Then taking some jute, start putting your garland together, leaving enough at the end to be able to hang it. Wrap the jute around the top of the carrot and fasten with your cute small wooden pegsThen continue along the garland, spacing out the carrots so they are the same distant apart, pegging them as you go.

And there you have your very own Easter Carrot Garland all ready to hang and add some sweet Easter cheer to your decorating this Easter!
