It’s hard to believe we are already at Day 3 of our Halloween 5 Day Decorating Challenge! Hope you’ve enjoyed so far the projects myself and Katrin from Kreativ K have shared with you so far! We sure have had a ball creating and making them to share with you. For today’s project, I’m sharing some fun Halloween Pumpkin Spider Ghost Raven Paddles for you to decorate with.
Halloween Pumpkin Spider Ghost Raven Paddles
To see what else we’ve been busy creating :
- Day 1 – Spooky Trick or Treat Sign
- Day 2 – Creepy Halloween Jute Spider Web Frames
- Half Way Day 3 – You’re here!
- Day 4 – Wooden Halloween October 31st Candy Corn Sign
- Day 5 – Tin Can Jack O Lantern Halloween Holders
Supplies needed:
- 4 x small paddles – I found these ones at Kmart but I’ve also seen some at Ikea that would work too or if you don’t have time to make some you can find them over in my Shop!
- Fusion Mineral Paint – Coal Black Sample
- Fusion Mineral Paint – Beeswax
- 120 Grit Sandpaper
- Halloween Stencils
- Craft Knife
- Old Store Card
- Old plate or tile
- Foam Wedge
Step 1 – Give each board a light sand. Then remove the backing paper from your stencil.
Step 2 – Align your stencil and adhere to the board. They will go over the side a little if you use the Kmart Paddles. Using your old store card rub over the entire stencil because you want to ensure that all the edges have stuck properly to get nice crisp lines when you apply your paint.
Step 3 – Using your Craft knife at the corner of your stencil separate the clear transfer paper from the stencil. Peel off the transfer paper completely. Go over the entire stencil again with your store card.
Step 4 – Pop some paint out onto your old plate or tile. Grab your foam wedge and start stencilling. Let completely dry.
Step 5 – Remove the stencil from your paddles. Use your Craft knife to carefully remove the leftover pieces of the stencil. Grab your sandpaper and distress to your liking. Then seal with a nice coat of wax.
There you have a set of Halloween Wooden Paddles to decorate to your heart’s content. Give away as a gift… the possibilities are endless.

I Love these! I adore Halloween decor, but sometimes it’s hard to find stuff that doesn’t look cheesy. I love how classic these are! Thanks for sharing!
