There’s no denying that I absolutely LOVE decorating with numbers! I have found over the years that they add so much character and charm to home decor and cannot be easily found. So today for this months Pinterest Challenge I’m sharing how to make Faux French Enamel Number Tags!
How to make Faux French Enamel Number Tags
Supplies needed:
- MDF Tags – I had these in my craft stash but these ones from Amazon will be perfect too.
- Fusion Mineral Paint – Lamp White Sample Size
- Fusion Mineral Paint – Coal Black Sample Size
- Paint Brush
- Fusion Mineral Paint – Chocolate Sample Size
- Fusion Mineral Paint – Tuscan Orange Sample Size
- 220 grit sandpaper
- Stipple Brush
- Fusion Mineral Paint – Clear Glaze
- French Numbers Labels – You can also use number stickers or stencil.
Step 1 – Give your tags 2 coats of Lamp White letting each coat dry in between. Apply your numbers.
Step 2 – Using your stipple brush and coal black lightly stipple around your tags. Let that dry and then stipple on some Chocolate. Do the same with Tuscan Orange and then let dry.
Step 3 – Grab your 220 grit sandpaper and lightly distress to your liking.
Step 3 – Apply your clear glaze to give them a nice shiny finish.
So there you have a fun an inexpensive way to get the look of Faux French Enamel Number Tags!
