When my kids were growing up, they always loved to know what was for dinner. So each week I would print out the menu for the week and hang it on the fridge so they could see. This also helped them with learning to read too! After being inspired by the Little Glass Jar Chalkboard Menu recently,  today I’m sharing my version of How to Make A Farmhouse Chalkboard Menu Board.

How to Make A Farmhouse Chalkboard Menu Board

Not only is this a fun way to get the whole family excited and involved with what’s on the menu each day, but it is also a great way to add some farmhouse charm to your kitchen!
Let’s get painting!

Step 1 – Pop out some chalkboard paint out onto an old tile or plate. Then give your piece of pine 2 coats of chalkboard paint.

Step 2 –  Measure the length of your board and divide the 7 for each day of the week. Using your chalkboard pencil mark out on each side and draw a line across the board. Then using your typesetting stamps in lower case space them out evenly, stamp facedown. Place your transfer film over the stamps and press to pick up the stamps.

Step 3 – Pop out some raw silk and add some water to get a nice inky consistency. Load up your brayer and apply to your stamps.
