Sometimes when making over furniture the drawers can be in super bad shape. Today I’m sharing a how to make easy inexpensive drawer liners so you don’t have to spend a tonne on pretty paper. Let’s face it, it sure can be expensive! So when it comes to flipping furniture this is a great way to keep your costs down.
How To Make Easy Inexpensive Drawer Liners
This set of drawers was last months project from our Monthly Painting Party but the inside of the drawers where pretty meh and needed some loving.
Supplies needed:
- Brown Paper
- IOD Decor Stamp – Rose Toile
- Brayer
- IOD Ink – Black
- Scissors
- Craft Knife
Step 1 – Lay out your brown paper over your drawer. Then taking your scissors cut around the drawer a making sure you go a little larger than the actual drawer size.
Step 2 – Using the straight edge of your paper butt it up snuggly against the back of the drawer. Then using your fingers run them along where the drawer bottom meets the side.
Step 3 – Taking your craft knife run it along the creases that you just made with your fingers. Start with the sides and finish with the front.
Step 4 – Taking your stamp, load up your brayer with ink and start stamping. I left the whole stamp set on it’s transfer film and just repeated the design across the drawer liners.
Step 6 – Repeat the process until all of your drawers liners are finished. Let completely dry.
Step 7 – Pop all the liners back in your drawers and place back into your piece!
And your all done!
Such a nice way to add a special touch to your piece don’t you think?
