5 Favourite Furniture Makeovers

5 Favourite Furniture Makeovers

One of the many things I love about painting is making over furniture for my clients. It might be a small table or a large cabinet or even as simple as a picture frame. So I thought it would be fun to put a collection together some of my 5 Favourite Furniture Makeovers  that I have made so far.

1- Farmhouse Sideboard

My sweet client LOVED her cabinet but it was marked and looking a little worse for wear.

I used my milk coloured chalk mix and stripped back the top of the bottom half and stained to give it a nice farmhouse style.

2. Lemonade Stand for a very special day

Another part of what I LOVE to do is style and provide Vintage hire items for all special occasions. So when I was asked to make a lemonade stand I took these sad old drawers and turned them into a Lemonade Stand. To see how  I transformed them feel free to click here !

3- Candle Sideboard

Another sweet client needed something to display all of her beautiful candles that she makes in a shop. So we decided to go with Antique White and Duck Egg Chalk mix.

I forgot to take a before photo before I started to paint but  from the one spot left  how if looked before.

This gorgeous cupboard was part of a painting class and which my client and I painted. She wanted to go for a Farmhouse look so I went with my Antique White Chalk mix.

5- Shabby Side Table

This little guy needed some furniture repair before painting.

There was a crack all the way down the centre that I had to glue it together, clamp and leave to dry overnight.  I used my duck egg chalk mix on the legs and milk chalk mix on the top.

  1. These are all beautiful Sam. I really enjoy your makeovers, they’re always so professionally done and you can see your unique flair for mixing colors in everyone of them.

  2. Inspiration for sure. I have a hutch in the kitchen that will get attacked this next week. Just waiting for some wallpaper to arrive and decide, what color. Isn’t that the hardest part? Thanks, Sandi

  3. Sam, these are all so gorgeous. I can see that your clients would be absolutely delighted with your work. You sand so strategically to get the perfect weathered look. I can’t pick a favorite one I love them all.
