Welcome back for another Quick Tip Painting Tip Tuesday! We are going to do something a little different this week and start a 5 Day Thrifting Painting Challenge using some of the tips that I have already shared with you!
Quick Tip Painting Tuesday – 5 Day Thrifting Painting Challenge
Do you have a pile of goodies that you’ve found while out treasure hunting thinking one day that you will give them a new lease on life? But then get them home and find yourself stuck and confused as to where to start or what colours to use.
I’m totally with you on this!
I have had things lying around from years ago! And it sure isn’t a nice way to live because it clutters your mind and in some ways prevents you from getting on with a project because of the OVERWHELM of stuff.
Today’s challenge is about how we can start the process of turning that overwhelm around and see the beauty again. In pieces, we have collected or pieces we have absolutely loved having in our home. Focusing on the beauty that we see in our new pieces, we then reflect that back into the universe and become proud and beautiful ourselves.
I see this happen so often with those I have helped over the 23 years of painting and it truly is a wonderful thing.
What’s involved I hear you ask:
- Using 5 items that you have found at a thrift store or are in your pile of To-dos or something around your home that needs some love
- Each day for 5 Days I’ll share a fun way to give them a new lease on life using paint
- Inspire you to repurpose and upcycle what you already have and even help get those creative juices flowing to get that project finished you might be stuck on.
Sound like something you’d like to do?
I’ll be using these 5 projects above to inspire you and share how easy it is to breathe life into something old and at the same time add a fresh look to your home without breaking the bank.
I look forward to seeing you there!
Leave a comment below and tell me about something you’ve been stuck on either painting or craft-wise. As always I love to hear from you and what you’re up to.
Happy Painting!
