Have you ever walked into a thrift store and cast your eyes on something that you have recently seen in the shops?? After an impromptu stop at my local thrift shop, these sweet drawers presented themselves! I couldn’t believe what my eyeballs were seeing because they were brand new and looked like they had stepped straight out of Kmart. So as you can imagine they were grabbed in an instant. Be rest assured I wasn’t going to let these out of sight because these drawers had just become my long awaiting Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint project! It’s been a while since using milk paint so these Industrial Farmhouse Numbered Drawers were surely going to let me dip my toes in the water again!
One of the many things I love about painting is making over furniture for my clients. It might be a small table or a large cabinet or even as simple as a picture frame. So I thought it would be fun to put a collection together some of my 5 Favourite Furniture Makeovers that I have made so far.
Welcome back to another fun filled Waste Not Wednesday-12! Thank you for stopping by to either join in our little party or grab your weekly dose of creative goodness! Let’s see what everyone’s been up to this week!
This project was a hard one for me because you see I painted my Raggedy Ginger Cookie Suitcase 10 years ago… yes 10 years ago!! (Where has the time gone?!!) My business name Raggedy Bits, came about because I just loved all things to do with Rag Dolls and Gingerbreads. That was even longer ago! 20 years to be exact! But as we know all good things must come to an end and tastes change! If you have been following me for a while you will know that I am changing the style of my house and moving more towards a Vintage Farmhouse Style. Definitely on a budget so I’m trying to repurpose things that I already have. So my next project was to transform this Raggedy Ginger into a Vintage Farmhouse Chalkboard Suitcase!

Here’s to Winter being over soon here in Australia!!! I am so looking forward to getting back out into my studio in the warmth and tackle so many large projects that I have had to put on hold! My list of smaller “to do” projects is getting smaller and I am glad that I finally got around to giving a small stool that we have a little love. I had all intention int the world to paint my little Ikea Stool when I bought it but as usual, time got away from me. It get’s used a lot in our house and has been scuffed about a bit. So I decided to give it a bit of a spruce up. So here goes with my Farmhouse Bakery Ikea Stool Makeover!
