Welcome to Waste Not Wednesday-5! Another busy week had by all, with all the wonderful projects that linked up last week for #WasteNotWednesday! We ended up getting snow here last week, which was so beautiful but that’s all melted now and we are experiencing cold days but lovely sunshine! What’s happening in your neck of the woods? I have had to move most of my projects inside! As painting outside just isn’t working because the temps are to cold and the paint just doesn’t dry. So I’m being super careful not to splatter paint everywhere lol! Let’s get down to seeing this week’s awesome features and I can’t wait to see what everyone has been up to! 🙂
I’ve had this old mirror sitting in my studio for I don’t know how long! It use to be a dresser mirror, which I removed as it was all crazed and converted the frame part into a chalkboard for my market stall. Just so that I can let people know that I do furniture makeovers and also hold painting lessons. I really loved that the edges of the mirror were bevelled and didn’t want to throw it away. So I decided to make a DIY Mirror Kitchen Sign and share with you!
When this stool first came to me, it was in need of a fresh coat of paint and some lovin! It was scuffed badly and looked like it had been very well loved before landing in my car! My first initial instinct was to paint it white and then stencil something onto the top. If you have been following me for a while you know how much I LOVE using numbers in my work but I wanted to try something different for a change! That’s when inspiration struck and I decided to go with an Aussie Stool Makeover instead!
Welcome to Waste Not Wednesday-4! I can’t wait to see what you have been up to this week! I have been so blown away by the cleverness of all the projects that have been linked up each week. So much inspiration and I hope in turn they have inspired you. Things are beginning to get super cold here in Australia, which is making it hard to do any painting, which is tad frustrating! In fact, we are expecting snow here on Friday!!! BRRRRR. I know that a lot of you are heading into warmer weather! Lucky you and enjoy!!!
Let’s get down to seeing this week’s awesome features 🙂
I have a confession to make! If you saw my recent posts on Sisal Rope Love Sign and 10 Minute Twig Tree, I was a part of a Simple Daily DIY Challenge. This involved a very talented group of ladies getting together and making projects of things that you generally have around the home. Well, it finished last week 😳 ….. and I still haven’t done 3 of the projects!!! Let’s just say that time has not been on my side!! The third challenge involved Mason Jars and that’s where my Simple Mason Jar Centerpiece stemmed from!
A little while back now, I made my Farmhouse Drawer Caddy out of a disappointing find at an online garage sale. But rather than throwing her to the kerb, I decided to try and salvage some of her sweet features. The last piece left was her sweet mirror! So here began my Dresser Mirror Hook project.
Welcome to Waste Not Wednesday-3! So glad you could stop by and join us and share with us what you have been up to! We have really enjoyed how our little party is growing each week and appreciate your participation. We just ask one small favour that you please only link up with things that you have not shared on Waste Not Wednesday before! This way it keeps things all nice and new each week!
